i had a bad experience at the hairdressers

it’s not like he made a mess of my hair - it’s not exactly what i wanted but i can live with it. it’s just the way he treated me, like he couldn’t care, didn’t have time for me. i felt like he was criticising me most of the time, saying things like “if you want a change why would you want your hair cut straight across?”, “why would you waste your time blow-drying and straightening your hair just to put it up?”, “so why did it take you so long to get your hair cut?”. those things are my prerogative.

this guy was level four, so pretty experienced in cutting hair, and if i’m really honest he was not worth the money. i would much rather have had the junior stylist, who was running around sweeping hair, washing hair and getting cups of coffee, do my hair because she was so so so lovely and so genuine.

at the end of my appointment he was so abrupt and said, “right i’ll leave you with katie who’ll take the payment”, then disappeared to the back kitchen. and to top things off as i was leaving the salon i noticed a large chunk of hair that he had missed when he was straightening my hair. disappointed isn’t really the word.

quality not quantity.
